Quiet days...

Happy New Year ?!

we had some quiet days at home over the holiday season. Inside, I was quite frankly speaking rather stirred and besides, going thru a cold. It was a mixture of feeling well and at home, and thinking about unresolved issues. Of course I am referring to our two babies.

They did not choose to relax or worse, get us to relax. On 25th, the vet came to make some stitches over the eye of Landy, who decided to make some trouble and now, he additionally has a Hufgeschwür and the vet came again...

Tabbi is ok but not more. I am still unsure whether we really found everything which is causing his problems of health. Next steps: both boys will see the dentist next weekend to get a general check. After that, they will get another check by Dr. Rittmann who - I hope - will equally check myself. And after that, we'll see how things evolve.

Unfortunately, I am very pissed with my blacksmith Michel who for the second time in a row, did not show up and therefore I had serious problems to find someone else to shoe my horses right before year's end.

To finish off with something more pleasant: We enjoyed the presence of Silke, the breeder and "mommy" of Tabasco, today. It was very nice, light snow, and the whole family took a walk through the forest around Calbach. Special moments... and she had a "too cute" photo of Tabasco when he was only a few of days old.
A couple of days ago, Ben and Vincent took a ride with Tabasco. And for the rest of the time, I try to improve my home logistic skills and the preparation of meals for the family :-)
