Vorschau auf 2012 - meine Pläne

Impatient as I am, I am looking forward to next year's challenges with Team Tabasco Eventing. It was a truly wise decision that I did not even think about entering any trainings or competitions this year. Over the last months however, my hip behaved quite well.  So well that I dare to dream about 24 or more months to come filled with riding activities.
For next year, I have planned to take part in a clinic at WRFS Münster, for a Trainerfortbildung "Reiten als Gesundheitssport" (advanced trainer's course with a focus on physical health by riding horses). This training will be in May.
Around Easter, we plan a one-week vacation with both horses (a family-trip) to Northern Germany with Ursel and Dominique. For that week, I have in mind to train on the wonderful Valluhn cross-country grounds, and to take a ride into the Baltic Sea which is not far from the place where we plan to stay.
In fall, there will hopefully be the re-make of our great Natterholz weekend (although not in Natterholz but most likely in Apfeldorf with Eva, Simon and Renate and her family.
I need these goals and plans für my own motivation. These three events help me so much in re-gaining spirit and confidence in myself and in riding.
At the gym, I have a new training plan which requires some real effort and which definitely supports my activities. This is a lot of fun, too. At home, I / we still enjoy our "funny couple" in the backyard. It is hard to describe how those two act. I am definitely happy to have them at home. There are so many things I missed when we had them stabled at a barn.
Besides the plans above, I have still some room for other ideas. Severloh is definitely still on my to-do list, and with a capital big maybe the Hunter event in Essen. But first, I have to re-start riding.
As passive activity around eventing, I have set my mind on helping at some international events again. France (WEG Caen) is coming close, and for next year Chris and I will see that we can assist in Marbach or Radolfzell to enjoy the international flair of eventing.

Last but not least, to be posted in a separate entry, all around the above mentioned activities there is the season plan for Tabasco which has yet to be evaluated. I explained in my last post which criteria are valid for my wonderful horse's sporting career.
